Last Cup race at Marchbanks Speedway

This track was rebuilt into Hanford Motor Speedway, the first
Superspeedway west of the Mississippi River, a few year later for USAC
Champ Car racing. It didn't last though and closed in 1969 before being
demolished in 1984.

Surprised no one has mentioned this yet but this is one of only two
races that a driver has led every lap in a track over a mile. Of course
the only other one is Jeff Burton in Loudon.

Did Bob Perry really start from 38th position or is it a typo?

I mean, there are 36 drivers on Entry List, either there a two drivers
missing or Perry started from 36th position.

Probably the only race ever with five guys named Dick finishing between
11th and 21st

Fittingly, both Roberts and Burton started 2nd but took the lead on lap
1 in their wire-to-wire speedway victories. Also, both races featured
near-sweeps of the top five by Ford, with the lone outlier being a Pontiac.
