Odd field that combined Compact Series cars (including imports) with
traditional Grand National entries on a paved oval track. The full sized
cars dominated.

I read somewhere Junior Johnson apparently dumped one of the Austin
Healeys simply because they were foreign cars. As karma would have it,
Junior would wreck out before the 1/4-mark.
