Go figure. 2. tony posted: 03.24.2006 - 9:50 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Too bad he didn't get any real sponsorship. 3. I wonder why there were so many laps spent under caution! 4. hyltonfan08 posted: 01.23.2009 - 4:31 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Marvin Panch's sponsor was Hull-Dobbs Ford. 5. 18fan posted: 07.20.2010 - 9:34 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Johns won this race running the high line when nobody else wanted to run up high so he didn't get held up nearly as much as everyone else. 6. Actually he was driving a 61 Chevrolet and the car owners were R.K. Mullins from Gate City Virgina and Jimmy Dishner from Bristol, VA. 7. nascar_vd / racing-reference.info posted: 01.13.2015 - 8:06 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Note: Johnny Allen relieved Jack Smith in the #47 and received the checkered flag. 8. Granted, only eleven actually finished. 9. He successfully convinced the race officials to change his position to '12A' rather than 13. 10. nascar_vd / racing-reference.info posted: 01.09.2016 - 6:02 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Note: First wreck occured when Nelson Stacy, on his 302nd lap, skidded into the second-turn guardrail after the '62 Ford had blown a tire. It bounced back on the track in time to be hit by Maurice Petty's '62 Plymouth. Stacy was shaken up, got a few minor bruises, and was sent to the hostpital for observation. He was released before the race ended. Cars driven by Ned Jarrett and George Green collided on the fourth turn. Nobody was hurt. Both cars were badly damaged and hauled off the track by the wreckers. They were quickly repaired, however, got back into the race and were running at the finish. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
