Last NASCAR race for convertibles. Even though the full series was
dropped after the 1959 season, this event continued as an exception.
Points were awarded as a Grand National (Cup) race.

This was also the third year in a row that a Holman-Moody entry would
win this event, oddly with three different drivers. Joe Weatherly in
1960, Fred Lorenzen in 1961, and Nelson Stacy in 1962.

This looks like it was a real thriller with a lead change and two cars
crashing on the last lap.
