It does not say how many laps he led. Which means that Wendell could
have led more then 27 laps in his career. Would be nice to see how many
laps he led in this race.

Ned Jarrett later recounted how outside front row starter, Bob Welborn,
threatened Wendell Scott before the race, telling Scott that if he
touches him going into turn one, he'll send him out down through the tulies.
Not a totally outlandish thing to be said back then for a lot of
drivers, which Jarrett alluded to. But indicated that the reason for the
ultimatum in this case was a lot more, well, 'discernible.'
