Numerous times the season began in November or December providing a short, or no off-season. 3. nascar_vd / racing-reference.info posted: 10.25.2018 - 10:21 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) W1963-03 Randleman Driver standings after this race (Top20): 1) Jim Paschal = 784 points 2) Richard Petty = 784 3) Jimmy Pardue = 704 4) Joe Weatherly = 656 5) Buck Baker = 592 6) Sherman Utsman = 560 7) Rex White = 512 8) Maurice Petty = 512 9) George Green = 432 10) Bill Foster = 416 11) Darel Dieringer = 400 12) Ned Jarrett = 352 13) Curtis Crider = 352 14) Herman beam = 336 15) Tommy Irwin = 336 16) Jack Smith = 320 17) Possum Jones = 304 18) Larry Thomas = 288 19) Buzzie Reutimann = 256 20) Stick Elliott = 208 4. While the focus may have been on the Pettys it was another fast family in control for much of the race as Glen Wood dominated in the Wood Brothers entry until the famous #21 Ford blew an engine. With wood on the sidelines Jim Paschal and his hometown Petty Enterprise Plymouth sped to victory. Richard Petty's first home race didn't go well as the future King fell out with a transmission failure. Still it was a great day for the family as in addition to Paschal's win Richard's mechanic brother Maurice Petty, racing with Lee's famous #42, turned in a top-5 run. 5. This counts as 1 of Paschal's 5 wins in 1963, rather than a 5th from 1962. 6. MSportRev posted: 09.18.2019 - 4:19 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Margin of Victory: 2 laps + 7. Anyone know what happened to that? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
