It was the second of 14 wins in that season, at the time 2nd all time, and his 15th career win. 3. CAUTION FLAGS: Shown four times for a total of 21 laps. On lap three, Roy Mayne spun out. On lap 18, David Pearson hit the turn 4 embankment, also involving Bruce Brantley. On lap 143, Clements, Waits and Petty wrecked. Clements suffered a back injury. On lap 183, the yellow came out so that the ambulance carrying Clements who also collapsed following his crash. 4.
