Considering Jim Paschal started 3rd but led every lap, that must have
been an exciting first lap! (Unless Richard Petty had to start at the
rear for some reason.)

@6, per the article, Jim Paschal avoided a 5-car wreck on lap 1 that
involved Petty, Ned Jarrett, G.C. Spencer, Fred Lorenzen, and Buck
Baker. Of those drivers, only Spencer was unable to continue.
