Buddy Baker finished 4th in a 62 Chrysler previously bearing the #87, but with the 8 painted or taped over for a second straight race. The number change was a necessity with father Buck donning 87 on his 63 Pontiac. Three of Buck's cars finished in the top six with Neil Castles piloting another 62 Chrysler to sixth. 2. Four days earlier, Junior crashed the Chevy at North Wilkesboro. Fox did field the 03 Chevy for G.C. Spencer. 4. Petty should be shown as leading at least 1 lap. 6.
