Per Tom Mooty's comments on Facebook: "The records are incorrect about at least one of the Paschal starts. The car Paschal raced in the Firecracker 400 was actually #31 in the race, photos exist showing that. They probably did enter the second car as #03 (the #03 was the short track car with blue interior, the superspeedway car had champagne interior) but due to rain in Atlanta the superspeedway car was used to win the Dixie 400 only 4 days prior to the Firecracker. I was at Atlanta for that race. Since they didn't have time to freshen the Atlanta winner before Daytona Junior drove the short track car there and the car that won Atlanta received a very hasty temporary #1 after the #3 for Paschal." Had the race stayed 250 miles another year, Junior Johnson would have added another superspeedway win to his im probable season. 9. acerogers58 posted: 11.17.2019 - 9:16 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Troy Ruttman flipped four times through turn 1-2 on lap 52, he wasn't seriously injured. 10. I believe the clip belongs to this race if anybody can watch and confirm. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
