There were 3 races at this track that year, and the Petty team won all
of 'em.

Hometown hero Richard Petty wins as the Cup Series makes its last
appearance at Tar Heel Speedway in his hometown of Randleman. All three
of the track's Cup races took place over the course of the 1963 season
(although the first was run in 1962) and while Petty Enterprises won all
three of them this victory would be King Richard's only top-10 result
here since he had issues in the two prior races.

I'm glad he got a win here. I always like to see a driver win at least
once at their home track, and though there were many tracks close to
Petty's home, this was the closest of them all.
