First race for Wendell Scott in a former Holman-Moody 63 Ford and he
gets an excellent fourth place finish.

Note: An engine blown in practice prevented Richard Petty from making a
showing in the Langley Speedway at Hampton, Va. In the race, he took a
token lap around the track, then pulled out.
