According to an interview with Curtis Crider, there was one race during the Northern Tour in the summer of 1964 where he and Buddy Baker raced as teammates (narrowing it down to either this race or Bridgehampton). The field was short (possibly because of Johnny Allen's WD), so Crider and Baker brought entered a third car they had just purchased - a car #66 once driven by Larry Frank at Darlington. The only problem was the car had no engine. Apparently, Crider and Baker put one of their crewmen in the car and had him get pushed by a track worker. When the crewman "discovered" his car wouldn't run, he was instructed to show his frustration and pull out of the event. Crider claims he collected last-place money, but the author also indicated that there is no official record of the entry. The #66 did, however, appear in later races in 1964, and it is possible this was the same car. 3.
