Billy Wade also won his last career race out of four straight.

Wade, who was killed at Daytona in a tire testing accident on January 5,
1965, won 4 career races, all in a row, starting on July 10 at Old
Bridge, New Jersey, and ending at Watkins Glen.

This was the last of Billy Wade's 4 race win streak. It was the first
time in Nascar history that a driver won four consecutive races.

Tim Flock didn't win 4 in a row. The race at Raleigh Speedway was won by
Fonty Flock.

Actually, Welborn made one final start two days later at Lincoln
Speedway, where he led the most laps before blowing an engine with 31 to
go.

seems odd that walt hansgen would drive a chevy at this race after
driving a ford for the same car owner at bridgehampton.

Walt Hansgen raced three CUP events; all on road courses. He finished
3rd, 3rd, and 6th. Could be he was also one of the first road course
specialist
