And it also should be noted that Baker did not lead another lap in his
Grand National career, in any of the 135 starts that followed.

don't understand. film of the race has petty leading baker by two laps
after pardue went out, yet lap leasder board shows pardue as the last
person to lead before baker took over for good.

Bobby Johns and Tiny Lunds' cars touched on the back straight.
They locked bumper bars, spinning nose to tail together before sliding
down to the apron of the track.
