only career pole for g.c.spencer and the second of only two starts for
joe bill adams ( who gets a top ten ).

A third straight race with Buddy Arrington running Raymond Carter in a
second car and once again there is evidence of a start and park.

Junior Johnson wins a Cup race at Hickory for the seventh and final
time. Out of all his wins here this would be the only one that came at
the wheel of his own equipment.

Junior Johnson makes is last season his finest as he ends 1965 with 13
wins in 36 races.
