The Curtis Turner connection to the car created suspicion but Smokey was never actually tied to the Bristol/Bolton Impala. Friedkin(Jim Pascal Driving) and Ray Fox(lee Roy yarlborough Driving) both showed up at Darlington with competitive Impalas that may have had a connection to the Bristol/Bolton/Yunick Impala. 6.
