Curtis Turner put the Toy Bolton-owned ex-Smokey Yunick '65 427 Impala
on the pole in this one...that's showin them Hemis and 427 Fords!

We suspected that the Toy Bolton Impala was the same one that Smokey had
abandoned for the '66 Chevelle but there was never any reliable reports
to confirm this.
The Curtis Turner connection to the car created suspicion but Smokey was
never actually tied to the Bristol/Bolton Impala. Friedkin(Jim Pascal
Driving) and Ray Fox(lee Roy yarlborough Driving) both showed up at
Darlington with competitive Impalas that may have had a connection to
the Bristol/Bolton/Yunick Impala.
