Last race until the 1981 Riverside opener Richard Petty ran a number
other than 43. Anyone know why he used to race the #41 and #42 for
seemingly random events early in his career?

Dick Hutcherson flipped during this race. He had hopped into Junior
Johnson's car as a relief driver.
