The Spring 100 for the modified division was run the day before. The
winner was Sonny Hutchins in a car built by the Wood Brothers during
Ford's boycott in 1966, Ray Hendrick was 2nd followed by Ken Rush and
Bill Dennis.

Remember riding through downtown Greensboro, N.C. after the race and
seeing the third and fourth place car on their haulers.
