Jimmie Johnson led 334 in the 600 in 2004. Paschal is one of the most underrated drivers in NASCAR history, even though he won 25 races. 2. b4il3y posted: 03.16.2011 - 3:51 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) If Jim had Petty or Holman-Moody, he would've won every race barring mechanical problems. 3. sirrockt posted: 07.26.2011 - 9:21 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) The Tuscaloosa News The 1967 World 600 is considered by many to be Paschal's greatest performance. He had built a three-lap lead when he lost control of his Plymouth and hit the wall on Lap 339 of 400. His crew patched up his car, but he was back on the same lap as his challengers. Despite the damage, he was able to hold off two hard-chargers, David Pearson and Bobby Allison, to get the victory. 4. The $28K payoff dwarfed the other races for him that year. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
