Per old newspapers, the race was called the Alabama 200.

Petty's margin of victory over Allison was about 3/4 of a lap.

Jim Paschal couldn't make it to this one due to another commitment in
California.

Apparently there were 34 drivers entered, but only 30 took the green
flag, despite the fact that track owner and race promoter Bob Harmon
said that everyone would be allowed to race. Among those who didn't
start, James Hylton sat out due to injury and Donnie Allison sat out
because he didn't have a car to run. Buddy Baker was also supposedly on
the entry list.
