Last Cup race at Fonda Speedway

The only Cup race at paved Fonda, it was dirt in the three prior
appearances by NASCAR

Richard Petty won the last race on the dirt at Fonda in 1967 then backed
it up by winning against after they paved it in 1968. He kept the tall
trophy he won at this race in his museum for quite a while.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Fonda was ever paved.

I don't know about Fonda Speedway ever being paved, but it was a dirt
track for this race according to NASCAR's official report.
