buddy baker crashed under a late caution trying to read his pit board.
he had a two lap lead at the time.

First Cup race at Texas World Speedway, the series would take a year off
but return to the track in 1971.

Baker's strange crash gave Bobby Issac a rare superspeedway win. He was
an outstanding short track driver though.

Pretty remarkable how big a difference 4 degrees of banking is, 16 mph
faster pole speed than its sister track in Michigan.
