Dale Jarrett would win the final race with this configuration that spring in the Primestar 500, while Bobby Labonte of course picked up the first win on the 1.54-mile configuration with a 325-lap distance used in today's Cup events at Atlanta. 2. simonracer posted: 02.10.2015 - 2:21 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I'm not sure what race this entry list is from, but I'd say it fits this race the best, judging by the entry of the #3 car with Jim Vandiver at the wheel, John Sears being in the #86, and J.D. McDuffie being in his Buick: https://scontent-b-lax.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xap1/v/t1.0-9/s720x720/10502523_921186537933415_5079722592545474907_n.jpg?oh=943dd53f115be42540da6d37d33eef1a&oe=555CAC0C 3. The Joe Savoca #00 only seems to have been entered at one superspeedway race, Daytona. It also ran at Beltsville, a short track. Vandiver drove the #3 and John Sears the #86 at Daytona. 4. This was early in the season before the Bobby Allison got the Coke sponsorship. The Coke sponsorship didn't appear on the #22 Dodge until the middle of the season. Prior to the Coke sponsorship, the #22 Dodge usually had local dealer advertising on the rear quarter panel, which was typical of the Ford and Chrysler factory-backed teams at that time. 5. bbigjohnson posted: 04.15.2018 - 10:37 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) When the track was 1.522 miles why did they run only 328 laps or 499.2 miles when it is not 500 miles? For example they run 367 laps at Darlington because 366 x 1.366 miles is only 499.956 miles which is 232 feet short of 500 miles. NASCAR has always made sure to go over the distance not under. They did it for the new 1.54 miles track. It goes over. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
