They must have drawn for starting positions here, because I doubt that Larry Baumel, a driver who only ever scored two top 10's in 45 starts, could start from pole. I also doubt that John Halford, who only ever scored one top 10 in 41 starts, could start in second. Regardless, this was Baumel's only career pole and the only time Halford, a driver who had "SPONSOR WANTED" on the side of his car, led any laps. Also the only time Ron Keselowski led any laps. 6.
