While Columbia Speedway was shut down to cars in 1979, noise complaints,
it reopened as a velodrome in 2001.

The race name didn't make much sense after the track was paved.

Last Top 10 for Ken Meisenhelder.
The Massachusetts driver had three top 10's in his career, all of them
finishing 10th.

Ron Keselowski failed to qualify, he flipped in a consolation race which
Al Straub won over David Ray Boggs.

It appears to me that Keselowski crashed in this race on lap 1, got his
car fixed to run the consolation race, and crashed again.
