Baker dominated much of the race but did not won, best driver at The
Rock to never win.

The Thursday qualifying session was rained out. When A.J. Foyt had to
leave for the Indy Car race in Phoenix, Friday Hassler was hired to
qualify the car for Foyt. Hassler in turn recruited Charlie Roberts to
qualify his own car for the race.

Isn't this the race that Richard Petty illegally made up a lap under
caution and everybody but NASCAR saw him do it? He was even asked about
it during the Victory Lane interview.He had no comment. Buddy Baker was
hopping mad. Of course Richard was Buddy's boss.
