I don't think NASCAR counted it though on that same issue as to why Bobby Allison lost a win due to his victory in a Mustang that same year. 3. Allison was invited by NASCAR to participate in this race in the Ford Mustang, to fill out the field. Allison went onto win the race in this Mustang. However, NASCAR did not count the victory. In 2006, the NASCAR rule books had changed the ruling on this race, and had Allison officially ahead of Darrell Waltrip with 85 wins. Then later on in the year, $John Darby$ (spelled correctly) went on to say that the win did not infact count, and there was a "computer glitch" and that Allison's total is back down to 84. And as of today, March 23, 2010, that's where Bobby Allison's win total remains. 5. What is your source that says otherwise? 9.
