Notice all the numbers with the W at the end. 8. hyperacti posted: 02.28.2011 - 4:47 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Dude I saw Emiliano Zapata in the DNQ list and started questioning my reality Obviously it's not the same guy lol but wow 9. gary24fan posted: 02.28.2011 - 5:04 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Yes the guys with the "W" at the end of their numbers are Winston West regulars. I believe the practice of entering West Coast Cup races came to an end around 1997 or so when the rules between West cars and Cup cars started taking a serious diversion. Gary 10. Jim Whitt drove car #35W. George Altheide's car was #0. 23. Anonymous posted: 08.19.2012 - 2:30 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Walter Ballard got relief at the first pit stop, from whom I don't know. But whoever it was was driving when car #30 crashed out of the race. Bobby Isaac collapsed after his crash with Donohue. Both cars were wrecked badly, apparently it was a pretty heavy crash, and there may have been a small fire on the Isaac car. 24. 1995z71 posted: 04.22.2013 - 9:30 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) The 1st of 5 consecutive races where the pole winner won the race, only time in NASCAR this has happened. 25. The 1971 winner George Follmer withdrew after his owner had a dispute with the way NASCAR was inspecting the cars, seems like only 2 cars (Follmer's and Sonny Easley's) were being checked with templates as both were 1968 models and everything else was older. From what I can tell NASCAR didn't have templates for anything else. 30.
