After the race, one drunk fan confronted Richard in victory lane. Richard's brother Maruice whacked the fan in the head with Richard's helmet ending the confrontation. 2. Ivan Balakhonov posted: 10.07.2016 - 8:25 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Buddy Baker entered the race and was to compete in the Harold Furr's Chevy but contract obligations to STP and Petty Enterprises didn't allow him to participate. I assume Furr asked Buck Baker to race his car instead. Neil Castles brought 16 McCreary tires to the track and even practiced on them but NASCAR informed him he couldn't run the tires Sunday. The rule was that in order to participate in NASCAR competition a tire manufacturer was obliged to produce at least 500 tires available for all drivers. 5.
