McDuffie drove his signature #70 with a car owner other than himself, Dr. Don Tarr owned the car he drove to a 5th in this event 2. Spen posted: 12.27.2009 - 7:17 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Odd. Bobby Allison finished first in both Bristol races that year, while Richard D. Brown finished last both times. 3. The Bristol record is still the 1971 race with 2:38:12 and 101.074 mph. 6. The 1973 race had a very similar number of caution laps and had a race time of 2:53:04. 7. Earl Brooks also qualified in 29th but withdrew, allowing Elmo Langley to start at the rear of the field. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
