He won both in 1971 and this race 2. RaceFanX posted: 01.24.2009 - 11:52 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) Best career NASCAR finish for Butch Hartman, 5th in Junie's #90 Ford 3. Foyt's fourth-place run here, with a couple laps led to boot, marked his best finish at Charlotte. Supertex ran 16 Cup races here at Charlotte from the mid-1960s to the late-1980s with all of those starts coming in the series' fall visit to the North Carolina tri-oval as you'd expect; Foyt tended to be a bit too busy with another Memorial Day weekend race to ever make an attempt at the World 600. 13. The former Indy 500 winner lasted last than 10 laps before the motor failed in his Chevrolet. This was Unser's penultimate NASCAR race and his last on an oval. 14. rateus posted: 02.21.2021 - 12:46 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Paul Tyler qualified for David Ray Bogs, Earl Brooks qualified for Elmo Langley and David Sisco qualified for Jabe Thomas.
