I went to both races at Dover in 1973. I miss the old NASCAR days.

Incredible streak for the Wood Brothers & Pearson - winning 10 out of 13
races entered, plus 2 seconds and a third.

The Silver Fox could not be caught on this day as the late David Pearson
took a season sweep at Dover with his dominant drive to a take his
third-straight win on the Delaware oval.

I was at this race. Bobby Allison barely edged Benny Parsons for 2nd
place on the final lap. Pearson's car was damaged when Toby Tobias's car
spun and crunched Pearson's right front fender, but the Wood Brothers
still managed to get the sheet metal off the tire and win the race.
Bobby Allison drove a 1972 bodied Chevy Monte Carlo, not a 1973 model
Chevy.

DNQ - Ronnie Daniel (#85 '72 Chevy) and Dean Dalton (#7 '71 Mercury)

Dalton replaced Bill Hollar in the #29 after missing the field on time.

Correction to my comment #7: Bobby Allison barely edged *Buddy Baker*,
not Benny Parsons, for 2nd on the final lap. I think they crossed the
finish line less than one car length apart.
