Pennsylvania's Kenny Brightbill finishes in the Top 10 in his first 2
Winston Cup races. Very few drivers have ever done that.

after running most of his races from 1963 to 1968, larry manning ran one
race in 1970 at north wilkesboro and this race. both were for buddy
arrington

You can add this race to the all-time dominating performances list THE
KING leads 491 of 500 laps including the final 461 and wins by 3 laps or
in Dovers case 3 miles I know time and and the quality of equipment has
changed but those numbers are staggering.

Don't take anything away from him. Say what you want about equipment
quality, but it was just as difficult to win in those days. His
equipment may have been better, but it was far from as reliable as the
cars are now.
