Darrell Waltrip's first win. Also, it looks like attrition took its toll
again as only 12 cars were running at the end.

11, "only won cuz Cale broke". If you look back there have been hundreds
of races in the history of Nascar that "this driver only won because
that driver broke", but most people only say it when a driver they don't
like wins.

This was a night race, as most Nashville Cup races were.

Darrell's younger brother Michael Waltrip was present to watch this
race. The future Cup racer, then just 12 years old, got to celebrate in
victory when DW and his team pulled off the win. Mikey's own first Cup
win was still about 26 years away at this point.
