The finishing order for this race was the opposite of the 1973 Rookie of
the Year race. For ROTY, Lennie Pond beat Darrell Waltrip. In this race,
Lennie led the most laps but Waltrip lapped the field with Pond
finishing second

One of the few races when Richard Petty finished last, because of a
mechanical problem.

This was DW's first win for DiGard, coming in just his eighth start for
the team. It was also his only win for the team while it still had
Waltrip's Terminal Transport trucking sponsorship on the side before
Gatorade joined the team in 1976.

It should say that Dave Marcis lead laps 156-169 instead of laps 156-189
and that he led a total of 82 laps instead of 102 laps. Also, Lennie
Pond should be credited with leading 225 laps as opposed to 205 laps.

Marcis' laps led are correct as shown.

The error is that Pond led starting at lap 190, not lap 170.

Buddy Baker qualified 6th and Randy Tissot qualified 19th but both withdrew.

Dick May qualified for Bill Hollar.
