Veteran driver Bill Seifert returns to the tour after an absence of
nearly 5 years. Seifert made the most of his return, finishing a strong
12th.

Roland Wlodyka makes his NASCAR Cup debut but finishes 29th after a
transmission failure

Cale wins another one in dominate fashion, leading over half the laps,
and extended his points lead over Richard Petty

First start at MIS for Bill Elliott. In another seven years he would
start to dominate MIS.

County singer Marty Robbins makes his first NASCAR Cup start in more
than two years. He was aiming to do some business with the Big Lead in
his foot and turned in a solid run with a top-15 performance against the
pros.
