This was supposed to be Ronnie Thomas' WC debut in the #25. Jabe Thomas
and Ronnie practiced the car, as did Dick May, who ended up spinning and
backing into the wall. Rear end damage was too great to fix in time for
Ronnie to qualify.

Neil Bonnett's #5 Dodge sponsored by Pocahantas Group, not sure what
that was. A very hot night - DW overcome by heat, needed help from the
car after, took oxygen as he lay on hood with head on the windshield,
not sure he ever was lucid enough for a winner's interview.
