Donnie Allison finished the race for his brother Bobby. Somewhere in the
first half of the race a beer bottle thrown from the stands, hit #15
Ford in the windshield, punching a hole in the middle of it. Pieces of
glass hit Bobby in the face and shoulder, gradually making him unable to
compete. "If that thing had hit more toward the driver side of the
windshield, it could have killed me", said Bobby afterwards.
