Al Holbert's best finish in NASCAR, 7th place, in one of the season's
traditionally toughest races of the year. Not bad!

The only time that I saw Benny Parsons win a race there. Finally, after
years of bad luck, the Lady in Black smiled on Benny. I guess that it
was worth all the trouble that he went through there over the years. He
said that Darlington would put more gray hairs on your head than any of
the other tracks on the circuit.

Even after all these years Benny's victory at Darligton is one of the
best feel good wins of all time Coudnt happened to a better guy
