Matt posted: 06.06.2006 - 12:01 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Eighteen-year-old Dennis Wade, a resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, was killed on the pitlane when he was run over by the car driven by Dave Watson, for whom Wade was crewing. Watson was leading the race when the accident happened. He was terribly shocked, and ended his NASCAR career on the spot - becoming one of the very few drivers who led their final lap in their final race in NASCAR. 2. The film stopped just at the moment of impact. After that, NASCAR implemented a rule that no one goes over the wall until the car is at a complete stop. Still, hazards still exist, especially when you have to be aware of the teams on both sides next to you. 4.
