Dale was about the only one to hang with Buddy for this race too. Close
finish at the end.

The companion event to this race was the "Alabama 300" for NASCAR's
Grand American Div. The winner was Rusty Wallace in a Firebird, followed
by Richie Evans in a Camaro, Harry Gant in a Firebird, Ferrell Harris in
a Camaro and Rick Wilson in a Ventrua. Neil Bonnett was 16th, Richard
Childress was 17th and Sterling Marlin was 18th.

Line-up shows Ferrel Harris qualified the #82 that Dick May transferred
to when the #99 missed the cut.
