Jimmy Ingram's first Cup race since the 1952 Southern 500! It was also
his last race in Cup and his best finish in 15th

Bobby Allison was one of the best ever at Dover's asphalt.

Give some credit to Bud Moore as well. Bud's cars always ran well at
Dover in the late 1970's to 1988, with the single exception being when
Earnhardt drove them in 1982-83. Earnhardt was terrible at Dover with
the exception of 1989. It took him ten years of driving to finish a race
at Dover on the lead lap.

Something tells me that Bill Elswick was injured in his crash, as the
next caution to come out was for an ambulance needing to cross the track.
