3 cars on the lead lap in 1980, 12 cars on the lead lap in 2019. I think
today's NASCAR is pretty good.

@4 A lot of cars on the lead lap at the finish isn't always an indicator
of a good race, nor is only a few cars on the lead lap an indicator of a
bad one. I've seen some very good duels between 2-4 cars at the end
(1980 Talladega 500, for instance), and other races with a bunch of cars
on the lead lap where nothing really happens (most races at Indy, for
example).

The Sportsman div ran the Harvest 150 on the day before, the winner was
Tommy Ellis with Butch Lindley 2nd, followed by Sam Ard, Jack Ingram and
Morgan Shepherd.
