An 8th at Talladega in May 1975 was his best finish, but he never started better than 19th, which he did at Richmond in September 1975. 3. billchill posted: 03.04.2008 - 12:08 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) why did rickey get $86k? 4. Apparently there was a scoring discrepancy that had the scoring Pylon having Cale Yarborough winning the race, instead of being on the tale of the lead lap to Darrell Waltrip. Not sure if anyone has any further info. 13. @Statscrash posted: 08.31.2018 - 7:55 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) it took them 22 caution laps at Pocono to get an animal off the track? 14. A deer was running around in the grass near the racing surface. It also had been raining, so they probably just decided to run under caution until the rain lightened up or stopped completely. 15. Thankfully the little spotted deer avoided the racing line, although it had a close call with Rick Newsom's entry, so unlike that one that Neil Bonnett famously plowed down in qualifying it would be alright. Track workers captured the fawn and it was released safely back into the wood afterwards. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
