Bob Jenkins and Ned Jarrett called the race with Ron Kendrick as pit reporter. They would broadcast every North Wilkesboro race afterward until the final race there in the fall of 1996. Also, the reason for the final caution that the race finished under was for second place driver Terry Labonte spinning Bobby Allison, damaging Terry's right-front fender in the closing laps as he tried to catch Darrel Waltrip, the leader. After, Terry was passed by several cars under caution, including 3rd place Dale Earnhardt and 4th place Benny Parsons. Originally, they were credited with 2nd and 3rd, respectively, and Terry fourth, but Terry was later given second place back. 4. 83andJoe posted: 09.16.2013 - 11:20 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) #8 crew chief: Harry Hyde (same for all races this year with Hillin) 5. Darrell Waltrip said in victory lane he hoped the guy was OK. 9. Ed posted: 04.09.2020 - 4:55 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Bobby Hillin, Jr. was still only 17 when he made his debut in this race 10.
