4 cautions at Bristol??? Sounds like fuzzy math to me. BTW, in 1983,
this track was asphalt, not concrete like it is today.

This race wasn't at night. I was there. There was a rain delay in the
middle of it, too.

Anybody know why this race was run on Saturday? If the dates on this
site are correct, the Cup and Busch series ran a double-header on this day.

Darrell Waltrip wins his fifth race in a row at Bristol, even switching
from Buick to Chevrolet couldn't keep the #11 out of victory lane.

2nd consecutive race that Waltrip and Allison finish as the only cars on
the lead lap, Allison won the previous week, ans 83 championship race
starts to clear down to two drivers pretty early.
