He hit the infield dirt bank on the back straightaway passenger side first after spinning out of turn 2. The impact was hard enough to knock the car high enough into the air that all four tires were off the ground. 2. myself posted: 02.14.2007 - 8:05 pm Rate this comment: (0) (3) Check out Morgan Shepherd's sponsorship for this race! This was not the case though, as at a minimum TBS also provided live flag-to-flag coverage of the Richmond 400 won by Bobby Allison earlier that year in February. 18. He was offered by Cliff Stewart to drive the #88 in this race but declined because he wanted to focus on the snowball derby. Come to find out that was a good decision because Donnie Allison said that was one of the worst racecars he's ever driven. But Rusty signed with the team for the 1984 season. 20. Now ARCA team owner/driver Wayne Peterson should be listed as a DNQ. He attempted this race but failed to make the show. https://www.newspapers.com/image/?spot=26687388&fcfToken=782f2b5a2b466d786a4267313348647a7365384147357970564f59525446654d3274616d59594342684b37465a6c6e73574d453430455276744e3643476c74465a4e6e7049314f304875493d 24. Bobby Allison was in the lead when a caution came out with under 10 to go for Jimmy Means and Mike Potter crashing, as Bobby Allison was coming to the pits he blew his tire and hit the outside pit barrier and caused significant damage, putting Buddy Baker out front until the winning pass by Bonnett on lap 326. (This race was featured in Budweiser's "Who Won?" section during the 1993 first Richmond race) 27. zuel660 posted: 03.04.2021 - 8:52 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Pretty much the 'last hurrah' for the Pontiac LeMans, as Tim Richmond puts the gorgeous Old Milwaukee #27 on the pole here. The LeMans would be ineligible for Cup competition in 1984. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
