He'd have to wait until 1986 to score his next victory after this. 5. myself posted: 01.24.2012 - 2:41 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Interesting. Never knew Booby Allison went through that long of a drought. 6. b4il3y posted: 05.24.2014 - 3:38 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) My dad went to this race, and I have some photos of it. Watching footage from the start of the race you can see it was actually his Chrysler Imperial. The next lowest earner was Doug Heveron, who was paid $1,275 for being 248 laps behind in 40th. 15. GNS states his winnings as $8,000 Cautions: 221-226 - #1, #44, #48 crash T3 248-256 - rain 261-281 - #8 crash / rain 366-372 - #52 crash T3 383-388 - #28 blown engine The laps of the final caution period were omitted in the race report. One source says that Cale blew with 17 to go, and GNS says that green flag flew on lap 389. Meantime, there WERE officially 48 caution laps during the race and something is not right here. So I'm snot sure if this caution rundown is supposed to be put on the race page. I leave it to the discretion of webmaster. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
