Surprised no one commented on this race at all. Well, except for now.
This race is now on YouTube, which completes the 1985 Cup season on
YouTube, for now.

Based on the video, JD Mcduffie was running at the end of the race. He
crossed the line next to winner Harry Gant at the checkered flag.

Eddie Bierschwale's wreck in the final 3 laps caused the race to end
under the caution.

The commentators for the race were Mike Joy and Benny Parsons with Dick
Berggren serving as the sole pit road reporter.

From 34:10 on you can spot him just behind winner Harry Gant taking the
checkered flag.

Harry Gant received quite a backlash after he stated I quote "I would
just as soon they get rid of the short tracks, just like they did
Nashville. It ain't racing, it is just survival". These words were said
in the heat of the moment, after his disappointing qualifying attempt on
Friday, but many people including Mr. H. Clay Earles were very unhappy.

With temperatures hovering around 85F the race became a hard ordeal for
some drivers. Bill Elliott was sent to the hospital with the heat
exhaustion, Geoff Bodine after the finish couldn't get out of the car by
himself.
